Hiking : Punta de la Lière

This extremely difficult 13.496-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the stunning Punta de la Lière in the wilderness of the area.

As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area at the trailhead. Make sure to park your vehicle here before starting the trek. The trail begins with a challenging ascent, so be prepared for a steep climb right from the beginning.

Midway through the hike, you will reach a wilderness hut where you can take a short break and enjoy the serene surroundings. The distance from the trail to the hut is approximately 1.97 kilometers.

Continuing on, you'll encounter Colle Arpeyssaou, a beautiful saddle located 6.6 kilometers from the start of the trail. Take a moment to admire the panoramic views before heading towards the final destination.

Finally, after a strenuous hike, you will reach the highlight of the route, Punta de la Lière, a majestic peak located 6.75 kilometers from the start. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the summit before making your way back along the same trail.

With an elevation gain of 1233 meters, this hike is not for the faint-hearted. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper gear. It's also recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
