The Lochrainweg hiking route is a super easy out-and-back trail that offers a pleasant outdoor experience in a beautiful area. The trail is approximately 1.107 kilometers long and has no elevation gain, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.
Starting at the beginning of the trail, you will come across a parking area within 7 meters of the trail. As you continue your journey, about 550 meters into the hike, you will find a water source close to the trail, providing a convenient spot to refill your water bottle.
Around the midway point of the trail, at approximately 200 meters from the start, there are informational points such as the Stuckiweg - Aufmarschroute gegen Rapperswil. These points offer insights into the historical significance of the area, adding an educational aspect to your hike.
Further along the trail, at 200 meters from the start, there are benches like Ruhebänkli VVS, Buechstutz and Ruhebänkli VVS, Igelrütiweg where you can take a rest and enjoy the surrounding nature.
Towards the end of the trail, about 550 meters from the start, you will find another water source, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout your hike.
