This extremely difficult hiking route along the Sentiero Valle Sospesa offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for adventurous hikers. The 16.126-kilometer trail boasts a total elevation gain of 1158 meters, promising breathtaking views and a test of endurance.
Starting at La Joux, the trail begins with a gentle climb, passing by the Prima Cascata del Rutor waterfall at 0.84 kilometers from the start. As you continue, you'll encounter the Seconda Cascata del Rutor waterfall at 1.96 kilometers and the Seconda Cascata del Rutor at 2.76 kilometers, adding to the scenic beauty of the route.
Around the midway point at 7.87 kilometers, you'll find a water feature to replenish your supplies before heading towards the Lacs du Glacier at 3.79 kilometers. For those in need of a rest, the Rifugio Deffeyes (C.A.I.) alpine hut at 5.78 kilometers offers a cozy stop to recharge before tackling the remaining distance.
