This extremely difficult hiking route in the Stilfs-Stelvio area covers a distance of 12.514 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1001 meters. The total duration for this out-and-back trail is estimated to be around 5 hours and 23 minutes.

Starting at the parking area (0.0 km mark), hikers will embark on a challenging journey that includes various points of interest along the way. At 2.31 kilometers from the start, there is a drinking water source available for refilling your bottles. Further along the trail at 2.52 kilometers, you will find the Obere Stilfser Alm - Malga Stelvio di Sopra, a restaurant and alpine hut ideal for a pit stop.

As you continue your ascent, you will encounter the Piz Chavalatsch peak at the 6.26-kilometer mark, offering stunning views of the surrounding natural beauty. Additionally, at the same location, there is a viewpoint that provides a perfect spot to take in the breathtaking scenery.

Approximately 1.4 kilometers from the start, there is a picnic site for hikers to rest and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. For those in need of a break, a memorial site can be found at 6.24 kilometers from the start.

It is important to note that there is a water source at 5.42 kilometers into the hike, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout your journey. Moreover, hikers should be prepared for the challenging terrain and steep elevation gain along the route.
