This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Lochalmköpfl. With a total distance of approximately 10 kilometers and an elevation gain of 706 meters, this hike is rated as difficult and is expected to take around 4 hours to complete.

Starting your journey from the parking area, you will pass by the Hecherhütte restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before hitting the trail. As you make your way up the path, you will come across the Geierkogelhütte wilderness hut at around 2.65 kilometers from the starting point. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Continuing along the trail, you will encounter the bench at 2.13 kilometers and the Scheideckriedel peak at 3.5 kilometers. Be sure to take in the stunning views as you climb higher towards Lochalmköpfl. At the 5 kilometer mark, you will reach the Lochalmköpfl peak, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the area.

Although there are a couple of peaks that are slightly off the main trail, such as Funeck at 4.37 kilometers, the main route leads you to the Lochalmköpfl peak. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before heading out on this challenging hike.
