This challenging hike will take you through the beautiful area around Stuhleck, where you can enjoy stunning views and natural landmarks. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 7.96 kilometers and an elevation gain of 746 meters. It is estimated to take around 3 hours and 42 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Alois-Günther-Haus alpine hut, located 2.37 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a perfect spot to rest and refuel before continuing on. Along the way, you will also pass Pfaffensattel, a saddle located just 0.01 kilometers from the start.
Further along the trail, at a distance of 2.44 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Stuhleck, a peak that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. This is a great spot to take in the beauty of the landscape and snap some photos.
Midway through the hike, at around 3.98 kilometers from the start, you will reach Steinbachalm Sennerhütte, another alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some local refreshments. This is a good place to rest before heading back on the trail.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various information points and facilities, such as the Pluto-Charon System and wayside crosses, providing you with insights into the history and natural environment of the area.
