Welcome to the Ganeran hiking route! This circular trail offers a challenging adventure through stunning natural landscapes. The 8.208-kilometer route features an elevation gain of 315 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you'll embark on your journey towards the first point of interest. After a short distance, you'll reach the peak of Ganeran, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. This peak is approximately 3.55 kilometers from the start of the trail.
As you continue along the path, you'll encounter La Nevera, another peak located 3.24 kilometers from the trailhead. Take a moment to soak in the beauty of the natural surroundings before trekking onwards. Be sure to stay hydrated and refuel at the drinking water stations located along the trail, with one at the beginning and another at around 0.57 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you'll come across the Bihotza / El Corazón saddle, followed by the La Arena saddle at approximately 1.68 kilometers from the start. These spots provide excellent resting points to catch your breath and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the area.
As you approach the end of the trail, you may spot Pico Menor in the distance, although it is not directly accessible from the trail. Keep an eye out for wildlife and unique flora along the way, and remember to check the weather forecast before setting out.
