The total distance of the route is 9.283 kilometers with an elevation gain of 841 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete.
As you set out on the trail, you will come across some points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will find the Gasthof Tommerl am See, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before starting your journey. Further along the trail, about 3.33 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Dümlerhütte alpine hut, offering a cozy place to rest and take in the surrounding scenery.
Continuing on, at around 3.36 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a wilderness hut where you can take a break and soak in the tranquility of the area. As you progress, you will encounter a water source at 4.64 kilometers, providing a refreshing stop to refill your supplies.
Along the way, you may also spot historical landmarks such as the monument located 3.33 kilometers from the start, as well as the wayside cross named Hüttenkreuz Dümlerhütte at 3.52 kilometers into the hike.
