This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Kienjoch, offering stunning views and a challenging terrain. The total distance of the hike is 13.35 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1078 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area with no fees, you will begin your journey towards the trail. Along the way, you will pass by a shelter and a bench for resting spots. As you continue on the trail, you will come across the peak called Dreierköpfel at 5.1 kilometers from the starting point.
Further ahead at 6.04 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Kieneckspitz, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. Continuing on, at 6.68 kilometers, you will encounter the peak of Kienjoch, the destination of this out-and-back route.
Along the way, you will also pass by a water feature called Gumpen at 2.7 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing spot to rest and refill your water supply.
