This extremely difficult 13.5-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Tête de Louis XVI in a picturesque area.

As you start your journey, you will pass by the Cabane du Vallon shelter, located at around 5.02 kilometers from the trail's beginning. This can be a good spot to rest and refill your water bottles before continuing on the challenging trek.

Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest such as the Falaise de Herbez, Falaise des Herbez, and Falaise des Pinettes, great spots for climbing enthusiasts. These rocky cliffs are located at various distances from the trail, offering a unique and adventurous experience for those seeking a bit of a challenge.

As you make your way towards the peak, you will also come across informative signposts, including Les Clots and other information points, providing valuable insights into the area's history and natural features.

Finally, you will reach the highlight of the hike, the Tête de Louis XVI peak, situated at approximately 6.75 kilometers from the start of the trail. This peak offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making the strenuous hike well worth the effort.
