Welcome to the Zauberwasser hiking route! This circular trail spans approximately 7.6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 505 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. The route takes about 3 hours to complete and offers a variety of points of interest along the way.
Beginning your journey, you'll pass by the Mutterer Alm Restaurant at around 3.67 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to grab a bite or a refreshing drink before setting off. As you continue, you'll come across the Hirschlacke, a beautiful water feature located 3.46 kilometers into the hike. Take a moment to enjoy the peaceful surroundings before moving on.
Throughout the trail, you'll encounter benches, wayside shrines, and informational points with interesting facts about the area. Be sure to stop and rest at these convenient locations, especially at the 1.44 kilometer mark where you'll find a historic wayside shrine.
Towards the end of the route, about 2.9 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Sillenschmied Quelle, a natural spring where you can refill your water bottle and take a break before completing the hike.
