Welcome to the hiking route in La Thuile, where you will embark on a challenging 13.872-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1011 meters. This extremely difficult route will take approximately 5 hours and 44 minutes to complete, so make sure you are prepared for a strenuous hike.

Starting at Pierre Giret parking, you will begin your adventure through the picturesque landscape. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. About 2.62 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Refuge du Ruitor, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing on.

As you trek further, you will encounter various bodies of water such as Lac du Petit and Laghi De Tachuy, offering serene views and a chance to cool off. Keep an eye out for Falaise de la Sassière, a climbing site located approximately 3.4 kilometers from the start, perfect for avid climbers looking for a challenge.

At the midway point, you will reach Col du Tachuy, a saddle that marks the turnaround point of the out-and-back route. Take a moment to soak in the stunning surroundings before heading back towards the starting point.
