This hiking route takes you through a challenging but incredibly rewarding terrain in the stunning area surrounding Rifugio Monte Pennino. The route is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 21.324 kilometers and an elevation gain of 807 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across "Le Francesche" parking area, located right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way towards Rifugio Monte Pennino, which is approximately 10.66 kilometers from the start, you will pass by the beautiful alpine hut where you can take a break and soak in the incredible mountain views.
Along the route, you will also encounter "Passo del Termine," a natural saddle point approximately 2.97 kilometers from the start, offering a picturesque spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, there are several drinking water points scattered throughout the trail, with the closest one being 6.07 kilometers from the start, ensuring you stay hydrated during your trek.
