This hiking route is in a beautiful area with a total distance of 10.862 kilometers and an elevation gain of 809 meters, making it a difficult trail that will take approximately 4 hours and 32 minutes to complete. Before setting off, be sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast.
Starting at the beginning of the trail, you will come across a parking area (0.0 km) where you can leave your vehicle. About halfway through the hike, at 2.96 km from the start, you will find a water feature, offering a refreshing spot to rest and hydrate.
Continuing on, at 3.94 km from the start, you will encounter a rock formation off the trail, providing a scenic spot to appreciate the natural surroundings. Further along, at 4.9 km from the start, you will reach Col de Vallouise, a saddle with stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
As you approach the midway point of the hike, at 5.43 km from the start, you will pass by another rock formation on the trail, adding to the rugged beauty of the terrain. At 2.25 km from the start, you will find the Col de la Trancoulette, another saddle offering panoramic views of the area.
Near the end of the hike, at 3.0 km from the start, you will come across a spring where you can refill your water bottles and take a break. Finally, at 2.2 km from the start, you will have the opportunity to explore La Roche Jaune, a peak with impressive vistas (Note: La Roche Jaune is slightly off the trail).
