This challenging hiking route to Monte Rioda offers stunning views and a variety of natural features along the way. Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by a parking area before reaching a tranquil water source about 1.16 kilometers into the hike. The Laghetto di Razzo, a picturesque lake, is located just 0.77 kilometers from the start and provides a great spot to rest and take in the scenery.
Continuing on, you'll encounter the Sella di Razzo, a saddle point, around the midway mark of the hike. This natural formation offers a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape. As you trek further, you'll come across the peaks of Monte Palone and Monte Pezzocucco, both offering panoramic views, although they are a bit off the main trail.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Sella di Rioda, another saddle point, located approximately 2.36 kilometers from the start. Here, you can find informational signage to learn more about the area and its geological features. Finally, reaching the summit of Monte Rioda at 4.39 kilometers into the hike, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views that make the challenging journey well worth it.
With a distance of 8.773 kilometers and an elevation gain of 363 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
