This hiking route is an extremely difficult out-and-back trail with a total distance of 13.42 kilometers and an elevation gain of 727 meters. The route will take approximately 4 hours and 55 minutes to complete.
The hike starts in a picturesque area surrounded by natural beauty. As you begin your journey, you will come across the Gsollkurve parking area, located right at the start of the trail. Continuing on, at around 2.64 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Gsollhütte alpine hut, where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.
Around 3.81 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Frauenmauerhöhle Westeingang cave entrance, located a bit off the trail. Further along, at 6.71 kilometers, you will reach the Pfaffingalm alpine hut, another great spot to rest and take in the stunning views.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various information points, wayside crosses, benches, and more, providing you with interesting insights and opportunities to relax along the way.
