This challenging hiking route will take you to the picturesque Damböckhaus in the beautiful alpine region. The trail spans a distance of 8.508 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1068 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous yet rewarding trek.
Starting off at the parking area, you will embark on your journey through stunning natural landscapes. Along the way, you will come across various points of interest that will enrich your hiking experience. About 3 kilometers into the hike, you will find an informative spot where you can learn more about the area and its surroundings.
As you continue your ascent, at around 1.88 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Taufbrunnen spring where you can replenish your water supply. Further along the trail, at the 4.25 kilometer mark, you will reach the Damböckhaus alpine hut, a perfect place to take a break and enjoy some refreshments while soaking in the breathtaking views.
Additionally, you may also come across benches for resting and wayside crosses and shrines adding a touch of history to your hike. Make sure to check out the Stadlmannkreuz and the Hl. Florian wayside shrines along the way.
