The Government Trail is a moderate hiking route that spans approximately 6.7 kilometers with an elevation gain of 265 meters. The trail is a circular route located in a scenic area with breathtaking views.
As you begin your hike, you will come across several parking lots such as Lot 9, Lot 10, and Lot 11, where you can park your vehicle before setting out on the trail. Lot 8 and Lot 7 are also available for parking and are situated closer to the trailhead.
As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter various points of interest. At around 0.92 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water source where you can replenish your supply. Approximately 3.15 kilometers into the hike, you will come across another water source.
If you're feeling hungry along the way, there are dining options available nearby. Slow Groovin BBQ is located just 0.15 kilometers from the trail and offers a delicious dining experience. Venga Venga, a bar, is also located nearby at a distance of 0.27 kilometers. Additionally, Grub Thai is a restaurant located just 0.03 kilometers from the trail for those craving some Thai cuisine.
