This extremely difficult 14.544-kilometer circular hiking route called Troi de la Mariota - Troi de la Mariota offers stunning views and challenging terrain. Starting in a picturesque area, hikers will first come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. As you continue on, about 5.56 kilometers in, there is a fast food spot for a quick snack.
Further along the route, at 3.36 kilometers from the start, you'll find a water source to refill your bottles. It's essential to stay hydrated, especially on a long and challenging hike like this one. Around 5.89 kilometers in, there is the peak called Col Margherita, where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views.
Throughout the trail, there are several natural water sources, though it's always a good idea to bring enough water with you. The route also passes by Chalet Isabella at the beginning, a restaurant where you can refuel after the demanding hike. Do keep in mind that this restaurant is not directly on the trail, so plan your visit accordingly.
