This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you from the Parking du Laus to the Cabane Pastorale de l'Encombrette and the Col de l'Encombrette in a 12.394-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 609 meters.

You will start your hike at the Parking du Laus, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest.

Midway through your hike, you will come across the Lacs de l'Encombrette, a beautiful mountain lake that offers a picturesque spot to rest and take in the stunning surroundings. Further along the trail, you will find the Cabane Pastorale de l'Encombrette, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and maybe even spend the night if you're up for a rustic camping experience.

Continuing on, you will reach the Col de l'Encombrette, a mountain saddle that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, you'll also find the Pas de l'Encombrette, another saddle that provides a great vantage point for taking in the scenery.

Throughout the hike, you'll have access to water sources such as the Source du Chadoulin and various shelters and information points along the way. It's important to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear, as this trail is quite challenging and remote.
