This hiking route will take you through the stunning area surrounding the Wormser Hütte in Austria. The trail is 15.08 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1416 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take about 7 hours to complete.
Starting at the Silbertal Ortsmitte, you will begin your journey with a visit to the historic wayside cross located just a short distance from the trail. As you continue along the path, you will pass by the Kälbersee, a beautiful alpine lake situated 6.69 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Schwarzsee, a picturesque body of water located 6.25 kilometers from the trailhead. Here, you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the tranquil surroundings before continuing on.
At the 7.54-kilometer mark, you will encounter the Wormser Hütte, an alpine hut where you can refuel and rest before making your way back. The hut offers accommodation and is open from June to October, providing a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the mountain views.
Throughout the hike, you will come across various amenities such as restaurants and water sources to keep you fueled and hydrated.
