This extremely difficult circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Hochkreuzspitze in an area known for its breathtaking natural beauty. The trail spans 13.84 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1460 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding adventure.
As you start your journey, you'll come across the Schwarzsee and the Jausenstation Unterstalleralm where you can refuel with some delicious local cuisine just 0.04 kilometers into the hike. Along the way, you'll also encounter the Klapfbach Wasserfall, a picturesque waterfall located at 0.73 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, at around 4.65 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Höllböden - Monte Chiaro peak offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, you'll pass by the Pfoisee at 5.77 kilometers and the Pfolscharte saddle at 5.8 kilometers.
At 6.41 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the stunning Hochkreuzspitze peak, a must-see highlight of the hike. Further along, you'll encounter the Vordere Gsieser Lenke and the Mittlerhochkreuz peaks at 3.79 and 6.16 kilometers from the start, respectively.
