The Dormillouse hiking route is a challenging out-and-back trail that spans 10.486 kilometers with an elevation gain of 536 meters, taking approximately 3 hours and 46 minutes to complete. The route is located in a picturesque area with stunning natural landscapes.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Parking du Col Bas, located just 0.21 kilometers from the start. This is a convenient spot to leave your vehicle before embarking on the hike. Along the trail, at a distance of 0.23 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point providing insights about the area.

Midway through the hike, at around 3.47 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Piste militaire, an informative point showcasing the military history of the region. Continuing on, at 4.96 kilometers from the start, you will reach the impressive Fort de Dormillouse, a historic fort that offers a glimpse into the past.

At the same distance from the start, you will also find the viewpoint and peak of Sommet de Dormillouse, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Nearby, La Batterie de Dormillouse, a restaurant, offers a perfect spot to rest and refuel.

Towards the end of the trail, approximately 5.24 kilometers from the start, you will reach Dormillouse, a free flying site ideal for adventure enthusiasts looking to take off and enjoy the thrill of flight.
