This challenging hiking route will take you to explore the stunning area around Pizzo Brumano. The trail spans a distance of approximately 6.9 kilometers with an elevation gain of 715 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek.
Starting from the parking area at the beginning of the trail, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. About 2.85 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the majestic peak of Monte Resegone, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Further along the trail, at around 2.86 kilometers, you will find Rifugio Luigi Azzoni, an alpine hut where you can rest and recharge before continuing your journey. As you trek through the rugged terrain, you will also encounter Bivacco Città di Lecco, a shelter providing a temporary refuge for hikers.
Along the route, there are several information points and picnic sites where you can learn more about the area and take a break while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Make sure to visit Sorgente Forbesette, a natural spring, to replenish your water supply.
As you approach the turnaround point at Pizzo Brumano, approximately 3.47 kilometers into the hike, you will be rewarded with sweeping views from the peak. Take your time to soak in the natural beauty before heading back along the same trail.
