The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 5.891 kilometers and an elevation gain of 748 meters, making it a difficult hike that will test your endurance and strength.
Your journey begins at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle and start the hike. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across various points of interest that will enhance your hiking experience. Around 2.95 kilometers from the start, you will reach the picturesque peak of Monte Resegone, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Midway through the hike, at 2.95 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Rifugio Luigi Azzoni, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. The hut is open during July and August, on Saturdays and Sundays.
