This challenging out-and-back hiking route takes you to the breathtaking Col de Longet - Colle del Lupo area. The trail spans a distance of 11.941 kilometers with an elevation gain of 846 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding journey for experienced hikers.

As you begin your hike at the designated trailhead parking area, you'll encounter the Caserma/osservatorio Vallo Alpino ruins just 5.12 kilometers in. Along the way, you'll also pass by Laghi Bes at 5.38 kilometers, offering a serene water spot to rest and refuel.

Further into the hike, at around 5.97 kilometers, you'll come across multiple natural water sources, including Laghi Bes and other unnamed water spots. These are perfect for filling up your water bottles and enjoying the surrounding tranquility.

For history buffs, the Malloppo centro 9 ruins at 0.1 kilometers offer a glimpse into the area's past. Additionally, you'll encounter various information points and viewpoints throughout the hike, providing insights into the local flora, fauna, and geography.

As you near the midway point of the hike, the Colle del Longet saddle at 5.15 kilometers offers a picturesque viewpoint to pause and take in the stunning scenery. Make sure to visit the Bivacco Enrico Olivero shelter at 5.15 kilometers, which provides a cozy spot for a rest before continuing on your journey.

Lastly, reaching the Col de Longet - Colle del Lupo endpoint, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views and a sense of accomplishment. Don't forget to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this challenging adventure.
