This extremely difficult 12.251-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the magnificent peak of Saurüssel in the beautiful area near St. Johann am Tauern. The trail boasts an elevation gain of 902 meters, promising a challenging yet rewarding adventure for experienced hikers.
As you embark on this journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a convenient parking area, perfect for starting your hike with ease. Approximately 0.02 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by Kirchenwirt, a charming restaurant where you can refuel and recharge before continuing your ascent.
As you make your way further along the trail, you will encounter several natural water sources, providing a refreshing opportunity to hydrate and take in the serene surroundings. Keep an eye out for these water features at various points along the route, including at 0.26 kilometers, 0.3 kilometers, and 3.18 kilometers from the start.
