This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Via Crucis, offering a peaceful and reflective experience. The trail is a total of 1.15 kilometers long with no elevation gain, making it super easy and suitable for hikers of all levels.
As you start your journey, you'll come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find a parking area for your convenience. Further along, at 0.08 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter Stazione XII - Morte in croce, a historic wayside shrine. Continuing on, at 0.24 kilometers, you'll reach Stazione X - Gesù spogliato e abbeverato di fiele, followed by Stazione IX - Terza caduta di Gesù at 0.3 kilometers.
As you trek through the trail, you'll also come across other significant landmarks such as Stazione IV - Incontro con Maria at 0.35 kilometers and Stazione V - Il Cireneo at 0.47 kilometers. Along the way, you can also take a moment to visit the archaeological sites located nearby.
For a well-rounded experience, don't forget to check out the drinking water station at the beginning of the trail and the picnic site at 0.33 kilometers. Additionally, take some time to appreciate the stunning viewpoints at Santuario Sacro Monte di Belmonte and the Statua di San Francesco.
