The trail begins at Pen y Pass parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before starting your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will encounter Mallory's cafe, a great spot to grab a snack or a cup of coffee before embarking on your journey. Further along the trail, you will pass by Llyn Teyrn, a picturesque lake located about 1.5 kilometers from the start of the hike.
As you continue on, you will reach a historic ruin located approximately 2.12 kilometers from the start. This spot offers a unique glimpse into the past and is a great place to take a break and learn about the area's history. Along the way, you will also come across several water sources, perfect for refilling your water bottle and staying hydrated during your hike.
About midway through the trail, you will encounter a viewpoint that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great place to take in the scenery and snap some photos to remember your adventure.
