This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Achertal-Blick area, offering stunning views and historical points of interest along the way. The trail covers a distance of 3.317 kilometers with an elevation gain of 75 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Starting off, you will find a convenient parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way, about 0.25 kilometers in, there is a lovely picnic site with benches where you can take a break and enjoy a snack. Further along at 1.65 kilometers, you will come across a memorial from the Orkan Lothar storm of December 26, 1999, providing a glimpse into the area's history.
Continuing on, at about 1.66 kilometers, you will find several benches and a viewpoint called Achertal-Blick, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, there is an information point providing insights into the area and its significance at 1.65 kilometers into the hike.
For your convenience, there are shelters and more benches available at various points along the trail for resting and soaking in the atmosphere. As this is an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps back to the starting point, enjoying the sights once more on the way back.
