This challenging 9-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through a beautiful area with a total elevation gain of 107 meters. The estimated duration of the hike is 2 hours and 21 minutes.
Starting off at a convenient parking area, you will begin your journey with ease. Approximately 2.57 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a water source, which could be a good spot to refill your water bottle. Further along the trail, at the 3.04-kilometer mark, there is another water source, although slightly off the trail.
As you continue on, at around the 4.09-kilometer mark, you will encounter yet another water source conveniently located along the trail. Additionally, at 2.57 kilometers into the hike, you will find another water source, albeit slightly off the trail.
Around the 2.04-kilometer mark, you will reach Passo della Forcellona, which is a scenic saddle point offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Further along the trail, at approximately 2.57 kilometers, you will pass by historic monuments such as Cippo n. 24 and Cippo n. 23. At the 2.04-kilometer mark, you will also come across Cippo n. 22, another historic monument.
Finally, at the 1.99-kilometer mark, there is a picnic site where you can take a well-deserved break and enjoy a meal amidst nature.
Due to the length and elevation gain of the hike, it is recommended to bring an adequate supply of water and snacks. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before embarking on the hike is advisable to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
