This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Alpette-Rousses area in Oz. The trail is a circular route, starting at an elevation of 2079 meters and reaching a peak at 2806 meters. The total distance of the hike is 17.5 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 761 meters, and is estimated to take around 4 hours and 44 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you will come across Lac Rond, a picturesque lake located right at the beginning of the trail. You can take a moment to enjoy the serene surroundings before continuing on your journey. About 3 kilometers into the hike, you will find two more water features, offering a refreshing sight along the way.
At the 6-kilometer mark, you will reach the Chalet du Lac Besson, a restaurant where you can take a break and refuel before continuing on. As you trek further, you will encounter more water bodies and natural rock formations, adding to the scenic beauty of the hike.
Around the 8-kilometer mark, you will reach a viewpoint called Dôme des Petites Rousses, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. This is a great spot to take a rest and capture some photos of the breathtaking landscape.
As you approach the end of the hike, you will pass by Col du Lac Blanc, a saddle point that marks a significant point in the trail. Finally, you will finish back at the starting point, where you can relax and reflect on the beautiful journey you've just completed.
