This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Couloir Fleur area. The 13.511-kilometer trail involves a total elevation gain of 623 meters and is expected to take about 4 hours and 41 minutes to complete.
As you embark on this challenging journey, you'll encounter several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll pass by Lac Noir, a beautiful natural water feature just 0.31 kilometers from the start. Further along, about 1.32 kilometers in, you'll come across Lac Faucille, which is located directly on the trail.
Midway through your hike, at around 6.33 kilometers from the start, you'll find Lac de la Fare. This peaceful lake offers a serene spot to rest and take in the surrounding natural beauty. Additionally, at 2.51 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter Lac Lamat, followed by Lac Carrelet at 2.73 kilometers.
Along the trail, you'll also find various amenities such as restaurants and accommodations. Chalet du Lac Besson and La Grange Restaurant are located close to the trail, providing options for sustenance during your adventure. Additionally, Refuge de la Fare, a fee-based alpine hut, is situated approximately 4.37 kilometers from the start, offering a place to stay for the night.
For those interested in local attractions, there is Auberge de l'Alpette, a restaurant located about 2.81 kilometers from the start, and Abri Rajon, a wilderness hut 6.1 kilometers into the hike. A viewpoint at 1.36 kilometers offers a fantastic vantage point to admire the scenery.
