This extremely difficult 16.4-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the stunning Dôme des Petites Rousses. The trail starts at Parking du Lac Besson, where you can admire the serene Lac Rond before embarking on your journey. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest such as Chalet du Lac Besson, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
As you continue on the trail, you will pass by various water sources, including Lac Besson and other natural landmarks like Pied Pic Blanc and Col du Lac Blanc. Be sure to stay hydrated and bring enough water with you, especially on hot days.
