This extremely difficult 14.586-kilometer circular hike will take you through the breathtaking Kreuzjoch area. With an elevation gain of 1163 meters, this route is not for the faint of heart.
As you start your journey, you'll come across the Montabella restaurant just 0.01 kilometers from the beginning of the trail, offering a perfect spot to grab a bite before venturing further. Continuing along the path, you'll encounter the Golmer Joch peak at 5.27 kilometers from the start, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Be sure to stop by the various information points scattered along the trail, such as the one at 6.71 kilometers, to learn more about the area's history and wildlife. Additionally, keep an eye out for the Latschätzkopf peak at 6.27 kilometers, offering a challenging yet rewarding climb.
Halfway through the hike, you'll reach the picnic sites at 3.02 and 3.05 kilometers, ideal for a scenic lunch break surrounded by nature. Furthermore, make sure to stay hydrated as you pass the drinking water station at the trailhead.
