This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Neuer Kastelbergweg. The trail is a total of 1.668 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 35 meters, making it a super easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Further along, about 0.24 kilometers into the hike, you'll find an information point where you can learn more about the surroundings. As you continue, at around 0.03 kilometers from the start, you will pass by the Refuge du Rainkopf, an alpine hut offering a great resting spot with scenic views.

Midway through the trail, approximately at 0.8 kilometers from the start, there is a bench where you can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Near the end of the trail, at about 0.83 kilometers from the start, you'll come across a refreshing spring where you can refill your water bottle.

At the turnaround point of the out-and-back route, you will find the Auberge de la Chaume du Firstmiss, a restaurant located 0.03 kilometers away from the trail. This is a perfect place to grab a meal before heading back.
