This scenic hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and historical landmarks. The trail starts at Piazzale dei Granatieri where you can find convenient parking. As you begin your journey, you will pass by the memorial of Granatieri di Sardegna, a significant historical site honoring the soldiers.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across Rifugio al Granatiere, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Further along, you will reach Piazzale Pennella and a viewpoint at Monte Cengio, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Midway through the hike, you will find La Granatiera, an information point providing insights into the area's history. As you near the end of the trail, you will encounter Salto del granatiere, a viewpoint with breathtaking scenery. Finally, you will pass by Galleria comando before reaching your destination at Postazione.
This circular route covers a distance of 2.021 kilometers with an elevation gain of 144 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
