This extremely difficult 15.801 km out-and-back hiking route, known as Via Lupa, will take you through a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey.
Located in a beautiful area with stunning natural features, the trail starts at Val Goccia, where you can find parking. As you begin your hike, you'll pass by Capitello San Bovo, a historic wayside shrine just 1.6 km from the start. Along the way, you'll encounter several rocky formations such as La Gusella and Col Bonato, both peaks that offer breathtaking views.
Midway through the hike, around the 7.9 km mark, you'll discover the enchanting waterfalls of the area, adding a touch of serenity to your adventure. As you continue, you'll come across various historic sites like Santo Stefano and wayside crosses that add a cultural element to your trek.
The trail is not only physically challenging with an elevation gain of 1799 meters but also offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the natural and historical richness of the region. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey.
