Welcome to the hiking route at Mount Tamalpais West Point! This moderate 5.653-kilometer circular trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at Bootjack day use area, you can park your car and begin your journey. As you make your way through the trail, you'll come across Bootjack Campground where you can rest and have a picnic at the nearby picnic sites in the area at the beginning of the hike.
Continuing on, you'll reach Mount Tamalpais West Point, a peak that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take in the scenery and snap some photos. As you descend, you'll find a drinking water station conveniently located midway through the hike to keep you hydrated.
Towards the end of the trail, you'll pass by more picnic sites and another drinking water station to refill your water bottles. The route loops back to the starting point at Bootjack day use area.
