This hiking route will take you to Col de Malaure, standing at an altitude of 2536 meters. The trail starts at the parking area near Camping Municipal de Valpréveyre in Abriès. Make sure to check the opening hours and fees for the campsite if you plan to stay overnight.

As you begin the hike, you will pass by La Halte de Barrère, a fast-food spot where you can grab a quick bite to eat. Along the way, you will also come across several drinking water stations to refill your bottles, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout the journey.

After approximately 4 kilometers, you will reach a beautiful natural water source where you can take in the peaceful surroundings. Further ahead, you will encounter the Col de Malaure, a saddle point offering breathtaking panoramic views at an elevation of 2536 meters. This spot is perfect for a rest and some stunning photos.

As you continue on the trail, you will find "Un espace pour demain," a memorial site that adds a sense of history to your hike. Additionally, there are informational points along the route providing insights into the area's heritage and natural features.

This out-and-back route covers a distance of 9.1 kilometers with an elevation gain of 650 meters. The terrain can be challenging at times, so make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry enough water.
