This challenging 8.026-kilometer circular hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Chalet-Refuge de Chamoissière. The trail has an elevation gain of 386 meters and will take approximately 2 hours and 49 minutes to complete.
The hike starts at Les Voutes parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. At 3.57 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Refuge de l'Alpe de Villar-d'Arène, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the stunning views.
Further along the trail, at around 3.66 kilometers, you will encounter some historic ruins, adding a sense of intrigue to your journey. Just a bit ahead, at 3.73 kilometers, you will find Chalet-Refuge de Chamoissière, another alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing on.
On your way back, at around 3.59 kilometers, you will pass by the historic monument named Spartacus, adding a cultural touch to your hike. Additionally, at 3.62 kilometers, there is a drinking water point where you can refill your bottles and stay hydrated.
