This challenging 11.27-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Cima Alta di Gleris in the picturesque area of Monte Chiavals. The hike has an elevation gain of 1037 meters and is estimated to take around 5 hours to complete.
Starting from the parking lot at the beginning of the trail, you will pass by the information point at the start of the hike, where you can gather any additional information you may need. As you make your way up the trail, you will come across a wilderness hut, Bivacco Giuseppe Bianchi, around 4 kilometers into the hike, providing a great resting spot with beautiful views.
Continuing on, you will reach the historic ruins of Casera Chiavals, just before the peak of Monte Chiavals at 5.07 kilometers into the hike. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views before heading towards Cima Alta di Gleris, another impressive peak along the route.
Further along the trail, you will encounter a bench for a quick break, as well as a spring near the 3.89-kilometer mark to refill your water supply. As you approach the end of the hike, take a moment to appreciate the saddle, Forcella del Forame, before making your way back to the starting point.
