Welcome to the hiking route up Cerro Caracol from Concepción!
Starting at Estacionamiento Unimarc, this 2.453-kilometer route offers a relatively easy hike with a total elevation gain of 76 meters. The trail takes approximately 45 minutes each way, making it perfect for a morning or afternoon adventure.
Along the way, you'll pass by various points of interest. About 400 meters into the hike, you'll find Brewpub Latitud Sur and Catus Pizza for a quick bite to eat. As you continue upwards, you'll come across a natural spring and two viewpoints: Mirador Los Baños and Mirador natural Pedro de Valdivia. These spots offer stunning panoramic views of Concepción and the surrounding area.
If you need a break, there are benches along the trail to rest and take in the scenery. Additionally, there are several restaurants and fast food options nearby, including Domino's Pizza and Valel.
At the end of the trail, you'll reach the peak of Cerro Caracol, where you can enjoy 360-degree views of the city and the Bio-Bio Region. Don't forget to check out Escudo de Concepción, an artwork located near the trailhead.
