This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Gressenstein area. With a total distance of 13.802 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1006 meters, this challenging hike is not for the faint of heart.

Starting at Schönangeralm parking area, you will embark on your journey through the picturesque landscape. Just 0.02 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Schönangeralm restaurant, where you can fuel up before continuing on your adventure.

As you make your way along the trail, be sure to stop at the Wasserfall viewpoint, located 3.54 kilometers from the start. Here, you can admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Midway through the hike, at 5.66 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source where you can refill your water bottles and take a short break.

One of the highlights of the hike is the Gressenstein peak, located 6.9 kilometers from the start. Take some time to soak in the panoramic views from this vantage point before continuing on.

At 4.75 kilometers from the start, you will find the Jst Gressensteinalm restaurant, where you can enjoy a meal and rest your legs before making the journey back.
