Located in the breathtaking Vercors region, the Chemin des Grands Espaces hiking route offers a moderate 4.72-kilometer trek with an elevation gain of 332 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes.

Starting off, you will find a convenient parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you continue, at around 0.18 kilometers, there is a lovely picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy some snacks. Further along at 0.38 kilometers, you will come across a drinking water spot to stay hydrated.

Around 0.69 kilometers into the hike, another picturesque picnic site awaits you. As you reach 0.84 kilometers, a bench offers a nice resting spot with a beautiful view. Continuing onwards, at 1.52 kilometers, an information center provides insights into the local area.

Around 2.03 kilometers into the hike, you will find another information point for further knowledge. As you approach 2.36 kilometers, a stunning waterfall adds to the scenic beauty of the trail.

Further ahead at 0.42 kilometers, there is a lovely alpine hut, the Refuge d’Archiane, where you can consider staying overnight. Additionally, at 0.45 kilometers, a café and another drinking water spot are available for a quick refreshment.

Before heading back, at 1.79 kilometers, an information center named L'Aubaise gives you more information about the surroundings. On the way back, make sure to explore the intriguing Grottes des Tournières cave entrance at 0.19 kilometers and the Archiane cave entrance at 0.19 kilometers.
