This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Rifugio Piana del Ponte on SP115. With a total distance of 14.646 kilometers and an elevation gain of 531.0 meters, this hike is considered extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across the parking area just 0.0 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along the trail, at 1.92 kilometers in, you'll find another parking area. At 1.83 kilometers, you'll find Locanda Bocchetto Sessera, a restaurant where you can rest and refuel.
Continuing on, at 1.92 kilometers, you'll reach Bocchetto Sessera, a natural saddle. Nearby, at 1.92 kilometers, there is a drinking water station for you to replenish your water supply. Just a bit further, at 2.62 kilometers, you'll come across a picnic site named Druetto, perfect for a pit stop and enjoying the surrounding nature.
As you trek onwards, at 5.08 kilometers, you'll find informational signage about the area. The trail also passes by several other informational points providing insight into the surrounding landscape and history.
Midway through the hike, at 7.32 kilometers, you'll reach a peak with stunning panoramic views of the area. Take some time to rest and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you.
Near the end of the route, at 2.6 kilometers, you'll encounter a wayside shrine and a drinking water station to quench your thirst. Additionally, at 1.73 kilometers, you'll find memorials dedicated to the Partisan soldiers who bravely fought in this area.
