This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Newtown Mountain. The trail is 5.408 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 104 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Black Horse Parking area, just 11.988 meters from the trail. This is a convenient spot to park your car before starting the hike. At the same spot, you will also find the Black Horse pub, perfect for grabbing a bite to eat or a refreshing drink before or after your hike.

As you continue along the trail, you will pass by the Bottom Reservoir, located 0.92 kilometers from the start. This is a great place to rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Further along the trail, at 1.68 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Top Reservoir, offering a stunning view of the area.

About 1.25 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Ffynnon Mair, a historic monument worth exploring. Finally, at 2.7 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Newtown Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
