This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to Colle Crocestone, spanning a distance of 25.224 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1211 meters.
Starting off, the trail will lead you through a picturesque area with stunning views. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. About 3.25 kilometers from the start, you will find an informative landmark. Further along the trail at around 11.65 kilometers, there is a natural water source, providing a refreshing spot to rest and refill your water supply.
As you continue on, at approximately 2.29 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another water source. Additionally, lookout for a parking area just 0.04 kilometers from the beginning, offering a convenient spot to leave your vehicle.
Around 3.33 kilometers from the start, you will reach Colle Creta and Colle Creta peaks, perfect for taking a break and enjoying the panoramic views. Moreover, within close proximity, there lies Valico di Fontecerro, a saddle point offering a unique perspective of the surroundings.
For sustenance, keep an eye out for BBQ spots at 0.02 and 0.09 kilometers from the start, offering a great place to have a meal. Additionally, drinking water sources can be found along the trail at approximately 3.37, 1.19, and 4.7 kilometers from the start.
For a historic touch, you will come across Madonnetta shrine about 9.71 kilometers from the start. Furthermore, at around 12.44 kilometers, a viewpoint awaits, providing a perfect spot to take in the breathtaking scenery.
Towards the end of the hike, at approximately 12.61 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Colle Crocetta and Colle Crocestone peaks, marking the turnaround point of the trail.
