This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area around Deutschlandschachthalde. The trail is relatively short, with a distance of approximately 1.1 kilometers and an elevation gain of 82 meters, making it a super easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the start of the trail, you will find a parking area where you can leave your vehicle. Further along, about 0.04 kilometers from the start, you will come across the historic Maschinenhaus building.
Continuing on, at around 0.3 kilometers from the start, you will find the Aussichtsturm „Glückauf“ viewpoint, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. About halfway through the hike, at 0.55 kilometers from the start, you can explore the Stockwerke des Waldes information site and the Emanuel von Seidl information point.
Near the end of the trail, at the 0.55-kilometer mark, you will encounter the Glückauf-Turm and the Deutschlandschachthalde peak. These points offer a great opportunity to rest and take in the scenery before heading back.
