This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Maasstraat. The trail is an out-and-back type, totaling 38.733 kilometers in distance with no elevation gain. Before starting the hike, make sure to check the weather forecast and bring plenty of water.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the Kasteel Huys Heijen, a historic castle located at 4.96 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at around 15.69 kilometers, you will find a water source. It's recommended to refill your water supplies at this point.
Midway through the hike, at 19.37 kilometers, you will encounter another water source. Take this opportunity to rest and hydrate before continuing on your adventure. At various points along the trail, you will also find parking areas and picnic sites for your convenience.
As you approach the end of the trail, you will pass by De Meerstoel restaurant at 16.21 kilometers. This is a great spot to grab a meal and relax after a long day of hiking. Additionally, there are other eateries like Eeterij Heiks Hepke and Café Plan-B along the route for your dining pleasure.
Throughout the hike, you will come across several benches where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. These benches are located at different distances from the start, providing resting spots for tired hikers.
